Married Christians, single Christians, or anyone in general: pornography damages spiritual, emotional and physical intimacy. Even without thinking about it, people will subconsciously begin to compare their spouse to a fantasy world that they have instilled in their mind by watching porn. It has a damaging affect to the human brain. The more people view porn the less they desire their spouse. Once sex in marriage is compared to try and replicate the fantasy world of pornography, slowly over time their desire for their spouse will decrease. 56% of divorce cases involve one party having an obsessive interest in porn websites. Pornography destroys you, how you look at others, and your relationships with the opposite sex. Flee from pornography while you are single and while you are married! There is hope and help to be set free from pornography in Jesus. Seek for help and He will give you strength.
“For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things have been created through Him and for Him.” Colossians 1:16 “Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:29-31
Mothers have the toughest job in the world. On this Mother's Day, take a moment to tell your mother, your grandmother, your wife, your sister, your aunty or any women in your life how incredible she is to you. Thank her for everything she does for you. Happy Mother's Day to all our amazing moms out there. Thank you Lord for women.
Jesus never promised to take away suffering or that Christians should not suffer. Faith doesn't take away our suffering. Rather... Jesus showed us the perfect example on how to handle suffering. Jesus promises that we are not alone in our suffering. Everyone goes through some form of suffering in life. The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. For you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.
He sets on high those who are lowly, and those who mourn are lifted to safety. -Job 5:11. Many give God thanks when He gives. Job gave thanks when He took.
God is always good. We may not understand what He is doing at times, but His ways are always better. You are His before you are anyone else's.
On the cross, "He himself bore our sins" in His body so that we might die to sin (be set free from the bondage/slave of sin) and live unto righteousness, purity and holiness. "By his stripes/wounds you have been healed" from sin not physical healing. We are saved from our sins and God's judgement because Jesus became our ransom(payment) for our sins. If you haven't put your trust and faith in Jesus Christ, please don't wait another day. I encourage you to do so today because tomorrow is not promised. We can't ever make it to heaven on our own. No amount of good deeds will ever get us to enter into heaven. Selling all of your possessions and giving it to the poor will not get you into heaven. Only the IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS of Christ (Jesus' perfectly lived life in this earth) counted on the BELIEVER and the forgiveness of sins through Jesus' redemptive work on the cross! Humble yourself and come to the reality that you need someone else (Jesus) to get you into heaven. Pride has no part in salvation. Our own merit/virtue plays no part in salvation.
Every single thing that amazes us in this universe is nothing compared to God Himself. Everyone is given the ability to praise and worship but unfortunately many idolize and worship the creation/created instead of the Almighty Creator Himself. People have to see signs or miracle in order to believe... that's not faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. *The greatest miracle that you'll ever experience in life is Salvation. From a person being spiritually dead in sins and trespasses unable to regenerate themselves... to desiring God, being born again regenerated by the Spirit of God and being made spiritually alive in Jesus Christ. Only by the work of God can this ever be accomplished.
“For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” 1 Timothy 6:10 “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God. Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.” — Luke 6:20-21 “But woe to you who are rich, for you have received your consolation. Woe to you who are full now, for you will be hungry. Woe to you who are laughing now, for you will mourn and weep.” — Luke 6:24-25
Thanks be to God that we are no longer spiritually dead in our sins and trespasses but because of the resurrection we have been made alive together in Jesus Christ for all things to work together for good to all those who love God according to His purposes. “For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.” 1 Corinthians 15:16-17
Tetelestai = It Is Finished. “...God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,”. Romans 8:3. “But the LORD was pleased To crush Him, putting Him to grief; If He would render Himself as a guilt offering, He will see His offspring,...” Isaiah 53:10. *The wrath of God was satisfied by the redemptive work on the cross in Jesus Christ! Happy Good Friday everyone.
To be more Christ like is to strive for humbleness and humility. Remove pride from your heart and you will be able to love without conditions, forgive others, and be open to God's teaching and correction.
#voddiebaucham Grace is not a license to sin. At one time, we all served sin and grew weak under its deadly power over us. Now, the Gospel created a way to be made alive in Christ, living sanctified(set apart for the purposes of God) lives and breaking free from being in bondage of willful, habitual sinning. We see an example of true repentance and brokenness over sin in Psalm 51. “Make me to hear joy and gladness, Let the bones which You have broken rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins And blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit.” 8-12.
We live in a time where satan doesn't even hide anymore and we still don't see him. Guard your hearts and minds with God's Word and truths. Take refuge in His presence, He will shelter and protect you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Love and meditate on God's word day and night. “No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13
John 1:14 describes Jesus as “full of grace”. The grace of God is one of the most vital things for humanity. If Christ wasn’t full of grace, His perfect holiness and sinless surrender would have caused everyone to fall dead in sin and shame whenever He passed by. But instead, He pulled on the fragile, lowly skin of a human, and He allowed us to meet Him in our filthiness. He walked among us. He dined with us, drank with us, laughed, cried, communed with us. God’s love is never without grace, just as grace is never without God’s love.
Our highest command given by Jesus is that we shall love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind, and with all our strength. And that we shall love our neighbor as ourselves. It will cost us a lot and constant dying to ourselves(flesh) but the christian life is never meant to be comfortable. At the end, it will always be worth it.
