I couldn't have gotten in this mindset without @annavictoria and you and ! Since Nov 27, 2017 I have fallen off and gotten back on the program multiple times. I have people in my life that talk negative to me about my appearance. Being in this group has made such a positive impact on me and helped me keep going no matter what people say about my figure. At 112lbs and 20% bodyfat... people close to me would call me fat because they wanted me to work harder in the gym!! And I would listen to them and get upset and give up. Now I'm extremely happy to say that I've ditched the scale and feeling better than ever! ____________________ I also want to bring awareness to cerebral palsy. I was born with mild cerebral palsy and often allowed that to hold me back by telling myself I cant do something because of CP. Others would make fun of me because I limp and my left side of my body is smaller and weaker than my right side. I threw that mindset out and told myself I CAN (no matter what I told myself or what others said about me). Change your mindset! Makes a world of difference! ________________________ All I want to focus on is feeling good, working out, eating well, and doing my best. And it's ok if I fall off!!!! It's life and I will stand strong and keep going no matter what life throws at me. Thank you to all of you girls and @annavictoria ! Y'all are such inspirations and encouragement. Happy Monday everyone!! This week I want you to DECIDE you’re going to have a great week and do your best. So much of this journey is a mindset and often times if you decide it’s going to be a bad day, it’s going to be a bad day. I woke up not feeling my best but I’m still going to make the most of the day and do what I can, which is all we can do right?! 😊 . Not every day needs to be our best day ever, it’s just about doing our best, and that “best” is going to look different from one day to the next. So who’s joining me in making this a great week, no matter what gets thrown our way?? 🙋‍♀️👊 . The most beautiful women I know are beautiful because of their confidence and because of their heart. Beauty has much less to do with what we look like than most realize. Plus, “beauty” is subjective and its definition differs from culture to culture and even person to person within those cultures. If you want to look a certain way, there’s nothing wrong with that. But do it because YOU like it, not because someone else likes it or because it conforms to societal beauty standards. . You don’t need big boobs, you don’t need a big butt, you don’t need lean legs, you don’t need a six pack, you don’t need long hair, you don’t need toned arms, you don’t need *insert what is keeping you from loving yourself*. 😁 which has definitely not been linear. Many of you have watched my journey for a few years now. I’ve shared when I’ve been in a rut, when I’ve been inspired, and when I’ve gone completely off track and not felt a single ounce of guilt for it. But there have also been times that I’ve been killing it too. Having ups and downs doesn’t mean you don’t have it figured out yet, it means you’re HUMAN. . We can’t control what life throws at us but we CAN control how we react to it. My progress may not have been the fastest in the world, but that’s because physical results were never my end goal. They’ve always been the cherry on top. What I’ve always wanted was first and foremost to be healthy, to stop taking medicine for digestion issues (that was a result of eating exclusively fast food 🤷‍♀️), improve my energy, improve my strength and endurance. . The habits you make in order to achieve those things DOES reflect physically and there’s nothing wrong with that. You deserve to be proud of the physical changes too! But don’t let them turn into the only thing you care about. Personally, I am proud of the hard work I’ve been putting in but mostly I’m proud of my strength physically, mentally and emotionally. Will there be times in the future I struggle and lose progress and take a few steps back? I can pretty much guarantee, yes. But, two steps forward, one step back. Right? That’s pretty much how it always goes, and there’s nothing wrong with that. That is still progress! Look for how you can learn from this journey instead of trying to be perfect throughout it. . If there’s one reason I’m still here, it’s not because of some secret workout or miracle veggie and DEFINITELY not a magic formula in a bottle. It’s first and foremost because I’ve always been my biggest cheerleader. Sure, some elbow grease (aka working out and fueling my body) is right up there too, but what good is a workout plan and meal plan if you aren’t going to follow it and/or build yourself up during the process? Start there. Start with loving yourself. Through the good, the bad, through it all. www.annavictoria.com/bodyloveapp
