The immense beauty, intrigue and diversity of the Saturian system comes through fantastically in this newly released image that doesn't even show the gas giant itself. NASA's Cassini spacecraft captured the photograph back in November 2009 and displays the 314-mile wide (505 kilometres) moon; Enceladus. Its famous geysers can be seen on the southern part of the satellite, with Saturn's rings glowing in the background. Photo Credit - NASA/JPL-Caltech/Space Science Institute #cassini

🇺🇸 has a hexagon pattern storm/cloud and nobody knows actually why 🤷🏻‍♀️ On the northern hemisphere there is a hexagon along with its vortex wider than 2 earths that was discovered by the in 1981, later visited by the #Cassini in 2006. The color had a change from blue to a golden one and that’s mostly because the sunlight is creating a haze when the hexagon is exposed. The hypothesis is that the hexagon is due the winds’ speed of Saturn’s atmosphere 🌬 . ➡️ SIGA O @NEUTRONDUSTT

@nasa_marshall with @get_repost ・・・ This view of Saturn looks toward the planet's night side, lit by sunlight reflected from the rings. A mosaic of some of the very last images captured by Cassini’s cameras, it shows the location where the spacecraft would enter the planet's atmosphere hours later. The oval marks the entry site. While this area was on the night side of the planet at the time, it would rotate into daylight by the time Cassini made its final dive into Saturn's upper atmosphere, ending its remarkable 13-year exploration of Saturn.
